Issam Chleuh is the Founder & Managing Partner of Africa Impact Group. Issam defines the culture and identity of Africa Impact Group by bringing innovative business and strategic thinking to the firm and its clients.
As a Partner, Issam is in charge of driving AIG’s business, developing existing client relationships and creating new ones – influencing the growth of Impact Investing in Africa in general, and in Francophone Africa in particular.
Issam’s specialty is accounting, valuation and reporting in the Impact Investing field. Issam believes the birth of Impact Reporting & Investment Standards (IRIS) is a critical turning point in the industry. He assists clients throughout their impact investing asset class life cycle: deal origination, valuation, due diligence, monitoring and data assessment, impact measurements, reporting and exit.
Prior to founding Africa Impact Group, Issam founded Ernst & Young’s first task force on impact investing – a platform where EY national leaders learned about the asset class and brainstormed how the firm could get in this noble field.
Issam Chleuh started his career at Ernst & Young in their Asset Management
group in Boston as a Senior Associate. He also worked for HarbourVest Partners, Putnam Investments and Azalai Hotels Group.
Issam holds a Bsc. Finance and Accounting from Suffolk University in Boston, MA and a Master of Science in Accountancy from the University of Notre. His research focus is Impact Reporting & Investment Standards (IRIS)
